A range of styles and mediums are connected through the galleries’ scenes. Jackson Hutchins’ intimate, improvisational wall works capture everyday emotional presence. Kagami’s new paintings mix irreverent humor with quick, gestural punch, turning everyday absurdities into surreal visual surprises. Hewitt’s paintings weave dreamlike figuration with intimate, symbolic detail, creating quiet worlds that pulse with inner depth. Morimoto’s photographs capture fleeting, introspective moments with a quiet, poetic clarity, making the everyday feel delicately luminous. Daifu frames quotidien chaos with raw, affectionate immediacy, turning ordinary life into vivid, unfiltered moments of humor and humanity. Finally, Takeda and COBRA, both precise and gently elusive works expand on their recent Green Gallery shows. Takeda’s paintings quietly meditative surfaces made their US debut this month, while COBRA’s minimalist wooden boxes double as birdhouses blur the boundaries between the object, its context, and the location of authorship itself.
