Sunday

Press Release

We are very pleased to announce that the SUNDAY Art Fair

2014 will take place 15 – 18 October 2014 at Ambika P3, University of Westminster, 35 – 100 Marylebone Road, London NW1 5LS.

This, the fifth incarnation of the fair in London, will feature 23 galleries and organisations from fourteen cities and six different countries. SUNDAY welcomes eleven new galleries to the fair including a special presentation by Glasgow International (producers of the city’s biennial festival of contemporary art) and also the bookshop, Donlon Books.

The fair will be open to the public on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons (but not, in a change to previous years, Sunday). Admission is free.

The bar will be run, once again, by Jack Beer and George Howard who will provide food and drink for visitors. Earlier this year Jack and George opened the highly acclaimed Artusi in south London – of which Jay Raynor in the Guardian wrote: ‘The ingredients are good. The kitchen knows what it’s doing. Gimmicks are unnecessary… Artusi does what it says on the menu. And it does so bloody well.’

The fair’s graphic identity has been produced by Kellenberger–White. Eva Kellenberger and Sebastian White began collaborating in 2009. Recently they have worked for the British Library, the Design Museum, Glasgow International, MIT Press, the Science Museum and the Wellcome Trust amongst many others.

The fair is directed by Lüttgenmeijer and Rob Tufnell and will be managed by Melanie Wilson. It is sponsored by Art Review magazine and Blackwall Green Insurance. “If SUNDAY were a fashion label it would be described as radical chic” Financial Times, Rachel Spence

“SUNDAY is the ultra-cutting-edge fair” Evening Standard, Ben Luke
